      It is rare to find a fellow massage therapist who, in addition to helping others through touch, has a passion for business.  In her book, “How To Create A Successful Holistic Practice, Shaun Brown aims to help healing-arts practitioners become successful business owners too.

     Brown makes a heartfelt attempt to cover subjects missed or skimmed by some massage therapy schools.  She has an open-minded, positive approach to the areas of communication and marketing, including some basic information on what new therapists need to start an individual practice.  I especially appreciate the suggestions about being sure of one’s motive for practice and about the many subtle ways we communicate with our clients through actions and appearance.
